“Meetings, Events, Etc.”

Sunday, April 29th we will be collecting “pocket change” as a fundraiser for the MDA (Muscular Dystrophy Association) walk.  Please consider giving to this worthy cause (the Smith family from Ceresco will be walking).

What is Muscular Dystrophy?

The freedom to walk, to talk, to run and play.  To laugh, to hug. To eat. To breathe.  Each day these freedoms are taken away from kids and adults with muscular dystrophy, ALS and related diseases that weaken muscle strength and limit their mobility.

Muscular Dystrophy Association

Fighting to free individuals and the families who love them from the harmful effects of muscular dystrophy, ALS and related life threatening diseases so they can live longer and grow stronger.  MDA is currently supporting 180 research projects worldwide.

Kids and adults make nearly 50,000 visits to MDA Care Centers each year.

More than 3,800 kids receive their “best week of the year” at MDA summer camp, free of charge.

Spring is here!  It’s time to do some spring cleaning!  As you put away your winter clothes and get out your spring and summer clothes, this is a good time to look through everything to see if there’s something that you can donate!  Donations will be taken to a worthy cause.  Please bring your donations to the Ceresco United Methodist Fellowship Hall.                          Thank You, Brenda Messick
